Breeding and Adoptions are temporarily closed due to an unfortunate and heartbreaking bordetella (kennel cough) outbreak in our colony
In November, our colony was hit with a devastating outbreak of bordetella brought in by a roommate's dog after receiving the live bordetella nasal vaccine. We suffered many losses, but our colony has now been stabilized and we are beginning the process of clearing the bacteria from our lines. This process unfortunately takes many months with lots of hard work and PCR testing, so for the safety of our lines and other rats, we are temporarily closed until our colony is testing fully negative. We hope to re-open again this summer.

Here at Mini Mischief Rattery, our number one priority is creating happy, healthy babies that are well suited for their forever homes. Our rats are all individually temperament and health tested before the adoption process begins.
Based out of Palmdale, California, we breed both dwarf and standard rats. We're currently producing mostly Russian blue and mink-based colors with a variety of coat types, though several other colors are present in our lines as well.
